Welcome to Art at Polk!

When you visit our school, please note the art work displayed in the lower part of the main hallway.  They are wonderful examples of the work of our talented young artists.

Mrs. Jody Field and Mrs. Stephanie Goetz are the art teachers at Polk School. Mrs. Goetz teaches art on Mondays and Tuesdays and Mrs. Field teaches art on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Art Projects in Process:

Grade 3 - Picasso Faces

Students are inspired by artist Pablo Picasso to create cubistic portraits.

Grade 4 - Warm and Cool

Students are creating underwater scenes using contrasting cool and warm colors.

Grade Five - Jasper Johns Style Flags

Students are becoming familiar with Jasper John's art work while creating their own overlapping personalized flag.
