Watertown High School

Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury presented their prestigious 2012 Halo awards on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at the Palace Theater in Waterbury, CT.  The awards celebrate excellence in High School theatre in Connecticut.  Watertown High School joined 28 other high schools from across the state.  See the nominations link below.  2012 Seven Angels Halo Awards Nominations Announced.

Jen Bavone--Best Comic Female Performance--Halos 2012.

Kudos to Watertown High School senior Jen Bavone who earned a Halo for "Best Comic Female Performance in a Musical" for her role as Mayzie LaBird in the WHS production of Seussical.

Congratulations to the entire WHS Orchestra which won "Best Student Orchestra."  Accepting the award on behalf of the orchestra was senior musician Jeff Gursky.  Senior Julia Stevenson was recognized with an  "Above and Beyond Award" for multiple efforts to ensure the success of the WHS Seussical production.

Solla Sollew (WHS Pit Orchestra) Turn up the Volume

The Watertown High School Musical Theatre 2012 production was the musical "Seussical" based on the books of Dr. Seuss.  It was presented on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 22, 23, and 24 at 7:30 PM in the WHS auditorium.

Technical staff included Foster Evans Reese as the director/choreographer, Kyle Culbertson as the instrumental music director, Brad Scoville as the vocal music director, and Joanne Chenkus as the producer.
