Tri-M at WHS

Welcome! Tri-M is a national music honor society standing for Modern-Music-Masters.  This society is composed of exceptional music students in grades 11 and 12 that meet the music, academic, leadership, and character criteria of a Tri-M member.

Dear Tri M Students and Parents,

Our Tri M Chapter is off to a great start. We had almost 100 % attendance at our first meeting. At that meeting, we set date and times for meetings for the rest of the school year. We also decided upon several activities and fundraisers. The dates and times of meetings and activities will be detailed at the end of this letter. In order to participate in Tri M activities, students must be active members of Tri M. Active members must be current with their dues, and must be enrolled in and successfully participate in a Watertown High School performing ensemble; ie, Band, Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Chamber Choir, Choir, or String Ensemble. Active members must also have no more than three unexcused absences from scheduled Tri M meetings. In order for an absence to be excused, students must inform their ensemble director, no later than the day prior to the meeting, that they will be absent from the meeting.

A letter from the Swift Music Faculty:

Dear Members of the WHS Tri-M Honor Society,

Thank you very much for your valuable support and service to the Watertown Music Department. Your efforts at the Swift Winter Concert were greatly appreciated. The work you did to help our concerts run efficiently really made a difference in the musical life of the students and especially, the music teachers. Ticket selling, program distribution and stage managing are all part of concert presentation, and you handled them with ease. Many people also commented on your professional appearance. It was also simply delightful to see how our former students have grown and matured and given back to the music department.
Many thanks to Ms. Michael as well, for organizing your members for the concert crew.

Also, congratulations to all of you on such a wonderful Pasta Dinner. The Clarke family donated their restaurant, food and services, and you all transformed it into a musical event par excellance!
Please send our congratulations to all your members, Mrs. Poliquin, Ms. Michael, and Mr. Culbertson.

We are so proud of you, your talents, your efforts and hard work. You have done the WHS Tri-M Honor Society proud!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Borbas, Mrs. Goldfarb, Mrs. Jedd
