A Word about Academic Expectations (A E 1-10). The academic expectations reported in Quarter 1 and Quarter 3 are formative not summative. This means that those particular grades are listed to provide internal feedback to students/parents/teachers/and administrators about how a student is progressing in developing the skills associated with our school's mission. They are not part of the report card for those quarters.
On the semester report cards released at the end of Q2 and Q4 summative scores will be reported regarding student achievement in the ten academic expectation areas.
If your Infinite Campus Account has become disabled, please contact your child's administrator for a reset. Administrators are assigned by beginning letter of the child's last name. See below.

Infinite Campus gives us a tremendous opportunity to facilitate more regular communication of information to students and parents by allowing online access to schedules and grading information. This effort should help school staff work with parents and students to provide additional support for students that may be struggling.
Once you access the page, click on Reports and select Schedule 2010-11. Your student's schedule will pop up. The school counselor is listed at the top. If you have trouble accessing this report, click on Schedule on the left hand side of the page to view the student's schedule. You will not be able to see the counselor's name in this view.
A word about "Due Dates" for assignments entered in Infinite Campus.
When work is graded and a student is missing the assignment, the teacher marks the assignment "M" for missing and it is factored as zero credit. The "Due Date" reflects the date the teacher is asking for the work to be handed in for credit. The student with the missing assignment should adhere to that class's course expectation policy regarding missing work and contact that teacher if there is a question.
About Student Schedules.
We employ an A-B block schedule at WHS meaning that students have four 82 minute classes on A days and four additional 82 minute classes on B days. These classes should be listed in periods 1 - 4. Period 5 should be empty unless the student is enrolled in a virtual course. The student's Advisory teacher and room location should be listed in period 6. As you will see in the schedule below, students will report to Advisory when they arrive on the first day of school.
Students and Parents can now have real time access to grades.
To access real time grades, click Schedule from the left hand menu. From your schedule, click on a class to bring up your grades. Scroll past data displayed on student achievement of academic expectations. This information is tracked by teachers in order to improve instruction. We will report on student progress in meeting the school-wide expectations at the end of the second marking period.
Report Cards will be posted Online.
This report card will contain both the second quarter and midterm exam grades. In full year courses, each quarter counts as 20 % of the final grade while the midterm and final exam each count for 10%. For semester courses, each quarter counts as 40% and the exam counts as 20%. We will also post the student Academic Expectations Report as well as an explanation of the contents of that report.
Attendance
Remember that 4.5 absences results in grade reduction to 60 and inability to attend field trips and dances.
