Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,
We hope that you all enjoyed these past few weeks of summer and had a chance to relax and have some fun! We have been busy getting ready for the 2021-2022 school year and we want to share some important information with you.
Details for first few days:
- The first day of school is Thursday, August 26th.
- It is a full day for 6th, 7th and 8th graders and free breakfast and lunch is available.
- Please check the web site for bus information and call First Student Bus Company with any questions (860-274-5212).
- Please review the attached letter for details regarding arrival and dismissal procedures.
- Please note that School Pictures have been scheduled for Friday, August 27th. Details will be sent home with the students in their packets on Thursday, the 26th, the first day of school. We have also attached a copy of the form for you to download if that is easier for you. In order to have their pictures taken, students MUST have this form completed and returned on Friday, August 27th. Health and Safety Information
- All students, staff members and visitors are required to wear face masks at all times when in our school. Mask breaks are scheduled by each team and occur throughout the day.
- Students should bring water bottles as water fountains are not available. We have several water-filling stations for students and staff to access as needed.
- Classrooms have been set up to maintain a distance of three feet between students to the fullest extent possible.
- To start the year, students will not be using the locker rooms and PE will be scheduled for outdoors as often as possible.
- Reminder that students are also required to wear masks on the buses and vans as well. We are very excited to get back together for in-person learning this year and we look forward to meeting and greeting your children back here on Thursday, the 26th! Marylu T. Lerz Principal
