Dear Watertown Public Schools Faculty and Families,

It is the last official weekend of the 2021-2022 school year! With only two more days of school next week, we are just a few steps away from looking back on another successful academic year. Please note a few updates and reminders:

1.2023 Paraeducator of the Year: Today, faculty and students surprised Ms. Rose Farrow, paraeducator at JTPS with a special recognition! For the 2022-2023 academic year, Ms. Rose Farrow has been selected by her colleagues as this year’s district paraeducator of the year! Please join me in congratulating Ms. Farrow!

2.Graduation Ceremonies and Rain: As much as we plan and prepare for our events, weather is the one variable that cannot be controlled. In the case of rain on Monday, June 13, all Swift families will be notified by 5:30AM and all WHS families will be notified by 1PM if there are any changes to the graduation schedule due to rain. Messages will come directly from school administration.

3.Senior Car Parade: This Sunday, June 12, graduating seniors will be driving around Watertown beginning at 1PM. All Watertown residents are encouraged to come on out to the route and cheer on our graduates! Can’t wait to see this year’s fabulous car decorations!

4.Summer School: All summer school students have been notified and committed to this year’s summer school program. We would like to extend a big shout out to Parks and Rec. for collaborating once again with us this year. Providing both academic and camp style fun during the summer is always a goal of ours and we are happy to be able to provide that again this year.

5.WPS Summer Work Landing Page: All families are invited to check out our 2022 SUMMER RESOURCE Website. This website was collaboratively designed by faculty and staff in the district and provides many resources for students to tap into this summer! Check it out.

Have a great last weekend of the school year,

Dr. V
