Staff Sergeant Labeck, who is also a Polk parent, joined us and brought cards we sent him last year when he was serving overseas. He talked about how much they meant. Students watched a flag folding ceremony and learned the meaning behind how flags are folded. #Polk #VeteransDay

In addition to our guest speakers, our 5th grade student council members read a poem about Veterans Day and Mrs Schulte sang the National Anthem. #Polk #Veterans Day

Polk's Veterans Day assembly was incredible! Our students enjoyed learning about the significance of this day from some of the brave men in our community who served in the military. #Polk #VeteransDay

Polk students were treated to presentations from Fire Marshal Calabrese this week and learned about the importance of fire safety. #Polk #FireSafety

Mrs. Milo's class taught our school about the importance of critical thinking through a fun game show! #PAWS #Polk
