Dear Watertown Public Schools Faculty, Students, and Families,

  1. FY 24 Budget Update

Last night at a regular Watertown Town Council meeting, the TC restored $800k to the BOE budget and $200k to the Town Budget. At this time, the BOE budget is moving as recommended without any reductions. Please click here to find all FY 24 budget related documents, presentations and meeting videos.

The Town Council set the Town Referendum for Tuesday, May 23. All polling stations will be open from 6AM-8PM at various locations:

An absentee ballot may be applied for by any qualified registered voter unable to vote in person on the voting day due to any of the following reasons:

  • Active service in the Armed Forces of the United States

  • Absence from town in which one is eligible to vote

  • Sickness

  • Physical disability

  • Tenets of religion which forbid secular activity on the day of the election, primary, or referendum

  • Serving as an election official at a polling place other than their own

The Post University HS Academy allows students to concurrently earn a Certificate in Paralegal Studies (10 courses) or an Associate’s Degree (20 courses) over the course of their 4 year HS journey! The CSDE encourages students and families to engage in learning that sets the foundation of Financial Literacy for a bright future. It is critical for students to be financially literate and to understand mathematics and statistics as important drivers in our current world. The Connecticut State Department of Education encourages the promotion of Financial Literacy this month by deepening the understanding of these topics during the month of April and beyond. Together we can increase financial knowledge and appreciate the diverse applications of mathematics and statistics. Please see the attached PD Playlist.
