Opening of School Learning Model:

On July 27th, the Governor gave districts flexibility regarding the best model for reopening (in-person or hybrid). According to the Department of Education, districts should use leading and secondary indicators regarding the level of COVID-19 spread in the community, and the five structural and procedural considerations within the district and individual schools listed below to determine the most appropriate learning model for the start of school.

Watertown's Fall Learning Model: Although public health data regarding the level of COVID-19 spread in the community support bringing all students back for in-person learning, cohorting is especially difficult in 8th grade and at the high school level because of the variety of classes students take.
