Official Ribbon Cutting for the WHS John Mills Complex Turf and Track

On Friday, October 20 at 5:30 PM the Watertown Public Schools officially opened the brand new John Mills Complex turf and track. Attended by members of the School Capital Projects Building Committee, Town Council, Board of Education, State representative Joe Polletta and Senator Eric Berthel, the group gathered to cheer on the Watertown High School Warriors as they prepared for several contests.

Dressed in bright pink to commemorate breast cancer awareness month, Dr. Villanueva, along with Town Manager, Mark Raimo, Buildings Committee chairman, Bob Porter, and both State dignitaries shared a few words to celebrate the completion of two major investments as part of a larger capital bond that includes several other projects for the Watertown schools.

New high school Principal Gianni Perugini and Athletic Director Paul Catuccio cut the red ribbon to open the field.

With both the Swift and high school turfs now completed, the School Capital Projects Building Committee will move onto roofs and HVAC systems. Anyone interested in learning more about WPS Capital Improvement Projects can visit: www.watertownps.org
