CAREERS & TECHNICAL EDUCATION

          The Career and Technical Education Department is comprised of courses designed to prepare students for futures in various business and technology fields. The business courses focus on students’ ability to function intelligently in occupational life, in consumer activities, in citizenship responsibilities, and in the achievement of personal-life goals.           The curriculum is structured to prepare students for immediate employment, for post-secondary education, and for the efficient management of their own personal affairs and makes a significant contribution to general education in America’s business-oriented society. The Business curriculum provides an opportunity for the student to become aware of how to succeed in the 21st century. We are committed to fostering the skills, attitudes, and work habits essential for life-long learning. Technology Education will provide an opportunity for students to become familiar with the world around us - that part of the world produced by the manufacturing industry as well as introducing practical problem solving and life skills. The Technology Education curriculum provides an opportunity for the student to become aware of how to succeed in the 21st century through the application of technology to acquire, process, and impart information. We are committed to fostering the skills, attitudes, and work habits essential for life-long learning.
