Each year, a committee comprised of the superintendent, teachers, and community members selects alumni from Watertown High School to be inducted into the Watertown Wall of Honor. This year's Wall of Honor inductee is Dr. Wesley Christopher Kyle (Class of 2005). On Monday, October 23, 2023 the Watertown Board of Education recognized and honored Dr. Kyle at a regularly scheduled BOE meeting and reception. Throughout the evening, those in attendance to support Dr. Kyle as he received the special honor shared stories  of the impact he continues to have on their lives. Even a few special attendees shared that Dr. Kyle had provided them life saving medical care as a patient and they wanted to honor Dr. Kyle by attending the special event.

Dr. Wesley Christopher Kyle graduated from Watertown High School in 2005. He later achieved a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at Quinnipiac University, where he participated in multiple humanitarian missions to Guatemala and Nicaragua with the Quinnipiac University Albert Schweitzer Institute. He then became a firefighter with the Watertown Volunteer Fire Department and served as an EMT and Firefighter with multiple volunteer departments as he continued his education. Dr. Kyle received his Medical Doctorate from UConn School of Medicine in 2014 and completed his residency training Program in 2017. Dr. Kyle became an attending Emergency Physician at Saint Mary's Hospital after graduating from residency, where he continued to practice and serve as the EMS Director.

He joined the Connecticut Army National Guard during Medical School and was deployed to Paktia Province, Afghanistan in 2019 to run the battalion aid station on Forward Operating Base Lightning. He was deployed again in 2021 as the Battalion Surgeon for the 1-102nd Infantry Regiment supporting Operation Enduring Freedom to the Horn of Africa, serving in Djibouti, Somalia, and Kenya. In addition, for the past ten years, he has served as a tactical physician for the North Central Connecticut SWAT team
